Crabtree Kicks Off NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship

First Titan freshman to compete at nationals since 2019

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The first day of the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship saw Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field's Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) get the Titans started Thursday night, May 25.

Crabtree, the first IWU freshman to compete at the national meet since 2019, battled in the 3000 meter steeplechase. The Normal, Ill. native clocked in with a time of 10:58.50 to finish 16th in the prelims.

Following a day off tomorrow, Illinois Wesleyan will wrap up competition in Rochester, N.Y. Saturday, May 27. Titan junior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) is seeded 17th in triple jump, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET.
