Wong & Crabtree Ready for NCAA Outdoor Championship

National meet set to take place in Rochester, N.Y. Thursday-Saturday, May 25-27

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field duo of junior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) and freshman Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) will make the 708-mile trek to Rochester, N.Y. this week, May 25-27, for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. 

Wong, who earned a NCAA bid with her leap of 11.98 meters in the triple jump May 12, is seeded 17th in the event. The lone College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athlete in the event, Wong will compete Saturday, May 27, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

The first Titan freshman to qualify for the national meet since 2019, Crabtree heads into the weekend seeded 10th in the 3000 meter steeplechase. The Normal, Ill. product bolted to a school record 10:43.33, May 18, to earn a spot in Rochester, N.Y. The prelims are slated for Thursday night, May 25, at 8:05 p.m ET, while the finals are on tap for Saturday, May 27, at 12:45 p.m. ET.
