NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -
The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team completed the 2022-23 season with the program's ninth top-10 NCAA Division III Championship finish Friday, May 19. The Titans carded a final round 288 on the par-72, 6974-yard Champion Trace Course at Keene Trace Golf Club to tie for ninth (285-295-305-288=1173).

Beaubien led the Titans at the NCAA Championship for the second consecutive year, this time taking sixth. The Barrington, Ill. native carded an even-par 72 to close out the season with a 72-hole score of 284. His four-round total is the best by a Titan at the national tournament in program history, while he is just the fifth IWU men's golfer to place in the top-six. Beaubien joins an elite group that includes Chris Green (second in 2008), Dex Reese (tied for third in 2012), Rob Wuethrich (tied for fourth in 2021), and Jimmy Morton (sixth in 2021).

Freshman Jackson Hulsey (St. Charles, Ill.) also posted an even par to place 43rd with a total of 296. Freshman Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central) turned in IWU's best round of the day, a three-under 69. Bai finished tied for 51st.

Sophomores Quinn Clifford (Chicago, Ill.-Brother Rice) and Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township) placed tied for 72nd and 78th, respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan head coach Jim Ott is slated to return all five student-athletes alongside a talented group of others for the 2023-24 season.
