NORMAN, Okla. - For the seventh time in his career, Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf head coach Jim Ott has been named a finalist for the Golf Coaches Association of America's Dave Williams Coach of the Year presented by Golf Pride Grips, the organization announced Wednesday evening, May 17.

Ott is one of five finalists for the prestigious award, joining RPI's Evan Drew, Claremont-Mudd-Scripp's Mitchell Fedorka, Carnegie Mellon's Dan Rodgers, and Emory's John Sjoberg. The leader of the Green and White, Ott previously won the award in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Under the leadership of Ott, the Titans won their 11th consecutive College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship earlier this month. Illinois Wesleyan was led by medalist Quinn Clifford, and Ott was named the league's coach of the year for the ninth time in his career.

The Green and White has won six tournaments this season, picking up wins at the Carthage Invite, ONU Bill Johnson Fall Invitational, CCIW Preview, Garn Championship, IWU Invite, and the CCIW Championship. The Titans also defeated Millikin in a match play duel.

Ott and the Titans are currently halfway through play at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
