FRANKLIN, Ind. – Five Titans are in the top-6 individually and the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team is in first at the Franklin Spring Invite after opening round play Saturday, April 22. IWU holds a 13-stroke lead following an opening round 305 on the par-72, 5637-yard The Legends Golf Club.
Sophomore
Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs) holds medalist honors after 18 holes following a one-over 73. Fellow sophomore
Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington, Ill.-University High) is third at three-over 76, with junior
Lexi Onsrud (Normal, Ill.-University High) is fourth at 77. Junior
Emma Thorman (Macomb, Ill.-Macomb) and sophomore
Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) are tied for fifth at 79.
IWU tops the team standings at 305, with College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Augustana in second at 318. Wittenberg is third at 332. IWU's 'B' team is in sixth with a 346, led by sophomore
Kylie Hundman's (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) at 82 which is tied for 11th.
