BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The women's and men's Illinois Wesleyan University track and field squads hosted the Titan Open inside of the Shirk Center, Saturday, Feb. 12. In total, the two teams combined to garner eight top-three finishes. The women notched five top-three finishes, while the men produced three.

Since this is a scored collegiate meet, the unattached athletes' place finishes do not count. All results listed in the aggregate at the bottom of this release take this factor into consideration. 

For the women, just hours after posting the fifth-fastest one mile time in IWU history, junior Rebekah Harden (Tinley Park, Ill.-Lincoln-Way North) took home first place in the 800 meter race with an impressive time of 2:25.95. This time bested the field by almost five seconds.

Senior Lexie Dorsey (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet-Seymour) placed second in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10:32.05, just one second behind the first place mark. 

Sophomore Tia Hardt (Lexington, Ill.-Lexington) cruised her way to third place in the one mile run with a time of 5:42.43. Freshman Evelyn Wilson (Geneseo, Ill.-Geneseo) posted a high jump distance of 1.55 meters, which earned the freshman a third place finish. Sophomore Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) took on the field of 15 in the triple jump and ended in third place with a jump of 11.08 meters to lead the Green and White. 

The men produced several top-three finishes. First, junior Drew Tatlock (North Pekin, Ill.-Pekin Community) notched a second place finish in the high jump competition as he cleared the mark of 1.83 meters. Additionally, freshman Luan Ademovski (Elk Grove Village, Ill.-Elk Grove) continues to impress. This time around, the freshman placed third in shot put, hurling to a distance of 14.87 meters. Junior J.D. Barrett (Tuscola, Ill.-Tuscola) produced the third-fastest mark in the 5000 meter run as he crossed the finish line with a time of 15:57.05.

Both teams will compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Friday Night Tri Meet, Friday, Feb, 18. This event will wrap up the home meet slate for the Green and White. The first event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
