SANDESTIN, Fla. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team closed out its fall season with a ninth-place finish at the Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 18. The 11th-ranked Titans finished with a 54-hole score of 937 (308-308-321) on the par-72, 5601-yard Baytowne Golf Club.

Junior Lexi Onsrud (Normal, Ill.-University High) paced the Green and White as she tied for 10th. Onsrud posted a three-over 75 to close out the tournament with a score of 224. 

Emory claimed the team title at 874 (294-285-295) behind a medalist performance from Sharon Mun (71-69-70=210). Second-ranked WashU placed runner-up with rounds of 300, 289, and 297 for a final score of 886, while Carnegie Mellon (297-294-308=899) rounded out the top-three.

The tournament marked the end of the fall portion of the 2022-23 schedule for the Titans. IWU, which claimed the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, will return to action in March.
