Men’s Golf Remains Atop Golfweek Leaderboard Through 36 Holes

SANDESTIN, Fla. - A strong second day of play at the Golfweek Fall Invitational Monday, Oct. 17, has the ninth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf leading the 24-team field with 18 holes to play. The Titans fired a one-under 283 for the second straight day at the par-71, 6651-yard Raven Golf Club and will enter the final round with a two-stroke lead.

Freshman Jackson Hulsey (St. Charles, Ill.) recorded IWU's best round of the tournament thus far, firing a four-under 67. Hulsey's low round catapulted him into fourth individually at 138 (71-68). Sophomore Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township) sits tied for eighth at 141 following an even par 71 in round two.

Illinois Wesleyan owns a two-stroke advantage over second-place Emory (285-283=568) ahead of Tuesday's final round. Oglethorpe (288-281=569) and Huntingdon (284-285=569) are tied for third, with UT-Dallas (287-288=575) rounding out the top-five. Michale O'Sullivan (Oglethorpe) and Michael Burry (Emory) are tied for medalist honors at 137, one stroke ahead of Hulsey.
