Final Results

CHICAGO - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's and men's track and field teams took part in the Aurora Grand Prix meet that was held at Gately Park in Chicago, Saturday, Jan. 29. A total of 14 teams competed in the meet.

Since this is a scored college meet, the unattached athletes' place finishes do not count. All results listed in the aggregate at the bottom of this release take this factor into consideration.

Junior Keondre Schumacher (Bloomington, Ill./University High) continues to impress. The Bloomington, Ill. native's time of 6.98 in the 60 is the second-best time in Illinois Wesleyan history. As a result, Schumacher earned a second place finish in the 60 meter dash. Additionally, the junior's time of 22.46 (converted to 22.85 to a flat track since the track at Gately Park is curved) in the 200 meter ranks seventh-best in IWU history.

Adding to his very productive campaign for the Green and White, freshman Luan Ademovski (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) placed third in the shot put competition as the freshman posted a distance of 14.88 meters and moved into seventh place in IWU history.

Junior Drew Tatlock (North Pekin, Ill./Pekin Community) etched his name in the history books by posting the tenth highest high jump in school history with a distance of 1.90 meters.

For the women's squad, sophomore Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill./Morton) captured third place in the triple jump as she propelled her way to a distance of 10.85 meters.

Both teams will host the two day IWU Multi/ Keck DIII Select Meet Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-5. The first event is set to begin at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday inside the Shirk Center Indoor Track.
