Women's Track and Field Rack Up Season Bests at ISU Invite

Bendery posts third-best 100m time in all of Division III

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field team turned in several season bests at the Illinois State Invitational Friday, April 30.

Sophomore Addison Bendery (Chicago, Ill.-Loyola Academy) climbed up the national top times list in the 100m dash. She moved up from sixth to tied for third with a season-best time of 12.02. Freshmen Avery Smith (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville North) and Tori Burke (Maroa, Ill.-Clinton) also ran season-bests, crossing the finish line in 12.67 and 12.93, respectively.

Senior Kelsey Wyman (Monmouth, Ill.-Monmouth-Roseville) ran a season-best time of 1:02.44 in the 400m hurdles, where she finished in fourth.

Freshman Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) and sophomore Camryn Winterland (Lexington, Ill.-Lexington) notched season-bests in the triple jump, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively. Wong's season-best mark came in at 11.24m, while Winterland recorded a jump of 10.89m.

Illinois Wesleyan returns to competition next weekend for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship at Augustana College.
