Bowling Beats NCC in First-Ever Home Invite

Titans went 1-3 on the day

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University bowling team advanced 3-13 during week four of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play. The Titans hosted North Central College, Elmhurst University, and Augustana College, seeing matches against the Cardinals and Blue Jays.

IWU finished the day 1-3 with the win coming in the standard match against NCC. Illinois Wesleyan dropped matches against Elmhurst, falling 794-553 in the standard and 799-508 in the baker match.

The Titans split matches with the Cardinals, coming out on top in the standard match 579-569 and falling short in the baker match, 606-521. Freshman Macy Michorczyk (Franklin Park, Ill.-Franklin Park) led the Titans with a total score of 143 during their dual against NCC, while Shea Atkins (Grant Park, Ill.-Bradley-Bourbonnais) finished with 123, junior Jade Miller (Chicago, Ill.-Providence St. Mel) bowled a 121, and junior Sarah Buchmann (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier) collected a total score of 101.

The Titans travel to Addison, Ill. next Saturday, Feb. 27 to face off at the Stardust Bowl for the Elmhurst Invite.
