Final Results

KENOSHA, Wis. - Select members of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Carthage Final Qualifier, Friday, March 6. This marks the last meet for IWU before the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place next weekend, March 13-14.

On the track, junior Kelsey Wyman (Monmouth, Ill.-Monmouth-Roseville) placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.60 and freshman Addison Bendery (Chicago, Ill.-Loyola Academy) finished sixth in the 55 meter dash, coming in at 7.51 after posting a time of 7.45 in the preliminaries.

Junior Cora Wilkinson (Verona, Ill.-Seneca Township) had a distance of 17' 9" in the long jump to place third. In the shot put, fellow junior Ayana Blair (Wheeling, Ill.-Wheeling) was third with a distance of 42' 11.75".

For the men, senior Colin Orchard (Lindenhurst, Ill.-Lakes Community HS) turned in a season-best distance of 57' 0.75" in the weight throw while sophomore Cole Paraday (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East HS) matched a season-best with a distance of 48' 10.75" in the shot put event.

The selections for the 2020 Division III Indoor National Championships will be announced on NCAA.com late on Sunday, March 8. The Championships will be held March 13-14 at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
