Brian Piotrowski had 52 career singles wins heading into his senior season, ranking No. 7 all-time among Illinois Wesleyan players. A three-time first time College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection,
He was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American for doubles (with Brian Sorich) as they finished fourth at the 2010 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships and won the doubles title at USTA/ITA Regionals.
A business (finance) major at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Jim and Kim Piotrowski. Brian's sister, Kristen, played tennis at IWU and his brother Kevin is a teammate on the IWU tennis team.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: My sister went here, and I wanted to play tennis at a smaller college not too far from home. I also really liked the campus when I visited.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Financial Management

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: The massive crowds at tennis matches. Sometimes it’s just too much to handle….

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when?  I got a C in my 8th grade art class since I have no artistic abilities whatsoever

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Heights- especially roller coasters

Worst habit: Forgetting people’s names. I have to ask about ten times to finally get them right

Most expensive traffic ticket: My only ticket is a $120 ticket for driving without my headlights on at dusk…..

Language I’d like to learn: Chinese

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: Probably only one day- I’m way too dependent on my Smartphone

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: “Nothing much, how about you?”- Pretty standard and boring

Favorite sports figures: Roger Federer and Michael Jordan

My greatest moment in sports was: Winning the ITA Regional tournament for doubles in the fall of my junior year here at IWU with Brian Sorich and then placing fourth at nationals in Alabama.

The best player I ever faced was: Honestly, I have no idea. All the bad losses I’ve had blur together

Worst dresser on my team: My brother Kevin of course, just because he’s my brother

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: A block of cheese…ran out of crackers

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Tom Hanks. Best actor of all time.

Favorite food: Any kind of fruit, especially grapes

Vegetable I won’t eat: Mushrooms

Pepsi or Coke?: Sierra Mist

Favorite TV show:  “The Office” or “Game of Thrones”

Favorite musical group: I listen to almost anything, but it would probably be One Republic

Favorite movie: "Shawshank Redemption" or "Gladiator"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Tom Hanks- see above

The person in history I would most like to meet is: I think meeting Albert Einstein would be pretty cool and trying to follow along with what he tells me

My dream job would be: Owner of the Chicago Bulls

Place I’d most like to live: California or Florida

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: Visit Australia and play Augusta National Golf Course

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My computer

What I miss most about being in the third grade:  Gym class
