Illinois Wesleyan senior guard Eliud Gonzalez was named to the third team of the 2011-12 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin all-star squads. Through games of Feb. 22, he ranks 24th in career assists at the school with 188.
Earlier this year, he was named CCIW "Player of the Week" for his game vs. Chicago on Dec. 10 in which he handed out career-high 11 assists to tie a Ratner Center opponents' record.
In high school, Gonzalez was the point guard for Class 4A state champion Oak Lawn Richards.
Majoring in business at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Consuelo and Sergio Gonzalez.
