Senior setter Stacy Hassinger (Noblesville, Ind., Westville HS) heads into the 2011 Illinois Wesleyan volleyball season ranked No. 5 all-time at the school with 3,153 set assists and is No. 17 in service aces (121) and No. 26 in career digs (796).
A team co-captain, Hassinger is a chemistry major at IWU and is the daughter of Tim and Tonia Hassinger.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I loved the campus and the volleyball team.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: I would have to say General Chemistry because it was probably the last class I was actually good at.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? Pretty sure I failed my first college exam in physics.. that was a lot of fun.

I’m deathly afraid of: Spiders.. any and all.

Worst habit: I tend to forgot a lot of things when I leave somewhere.. especially if I am moving out of somewhere.

Most expensive traffic ticket: I have only gotten one ticket for speeding on the street next to my neighborhood.

Language I’d like to learn: Italian

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”:
Absolutely nothing. How about you?

Favorite sports figures: Peyton Manning and Hope Solo

My greatest moment in sports was: Beating our high school rivals my senior year for the first time in 20 years.

The best player I ever faced was: A girl in high school that ended up going to Penn State for volleyball.

Worst dresser on my team: Well Kristy Duncan tends to shop at Justice, which is pretty embarrassing since she is our assistant coach.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: A bag of sweet potatoes.. I should probably get to eating those pretty soon.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Steve Carrell… I think he is awesome.

Favorite food: Naked burrito from Qdoba.

Vegetable I won’t eat: Dry, raw broccoli is kind of gross.

Pepsi or Coke?: I don’t really like either but I like Cherry Coke.

Favorite TV show: “Law and Order: SVU” all the way.

Favorite musical group: Probably Matchbox 20. I have liked them the longest by far.

Favorite movie: Right now, it would probably have to be “Bridesmaids”.

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Probably Kristen Stewart since she is the most awkward actress I know.

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Andrew Jackson.

My dream job would be: Picking the music for the background of TV shows.

Place I’d most like to live: New Zealand

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: I don’t own valuable things but my old “Baby Spice” Barbie doll may be a collectors item by now.

What I miss most about being in the third grade:
Group projects that don’t require work outside of class. And kickball during recess.
