Brett Moore (Bloomington, Ill., HS) was a first team all-Central region selection and first team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin honoree in 2009. He was chosen as team's "Most Valuable Player" as he batted .383 with team high 64 hits, including three triples, 11 doubles and two homers. The 64 hits is the seventh best in an Illinois Wesleyan single season. He also earned the team’s “Best Defensive Player” honor. Moore transferred to Illinois Wesleyan after freshman year from Kansas City Community College.
A business major, he is the son of Julie and Ed Moore.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan:
After my freshman year at Kansas City Kansas CC I wanted to keep playing baseball and I had the option of going to another junior college that was in St. Louis or IWU. I chose IWU because I did not want to end up going to three different schools in three years.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Coaching Baseball

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I’ve had a couple C’s here at IWU. My Statistics for Business/Economics class was rough.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : I’m not really afraid but I extremely dislike the sound and texture of styrofoam.

Worst habit: Buying baseball stuff.

Most expensive traffic ticket: Knocking over a light pole with a car on Main Street in Normal is costly.

Language I’d like to learn: Spanish or Japanese

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: “Nothin’, what’s up?”

Favorite sports figure(s): I have a lot... LeBron James, Jacory Harris, David Eckstein, Carl Crawford to name a few.

My greatest moment in sports was:
Being 1st Team All-Region last year, but hopefully my greatest moments are still to come this season

The best player I ever faced was: At IWU- Jordan Jaehne-Llana, Pitcher from Carthage. Overall- Zack Murry, Infielder from Neosho County Kansas CC

Worst dresser on my team: Ryan Hopp for his one pocket practice pants. Horrible.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Haven’t touched that in months.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: LeBron

Favorite food: Pizza with Monical’s Italian dressing, chocolate milk, and peanut butter M&M’s.

Vegetable I won’t eat: Not that in to vegetables, I pretty much only eat broccoli.

Pepsi or Coke?: I used to have an addiction to Cherry Pepsi. Now I stick with water.

Favorite TV show: "Always Sunny in Philadelphia", "Dexter", "Family Guy"

Favorite musical group: Red Hot Chili Peppers

Favorite movie: Toss up between "Wizard of Oz", "Edward Scissorhands", and "Sandlot"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Shaq

The person in history I would most like to meet is:
Ted Williams. He could probably teach me a thing or two.

My dream job would be: Major League Baseball general anager

Place I’d most like to live: The place where it’s 75 degrees everyday and never rains.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: Most likely my car or the opportunity to have dinner with me.

What I miss most about being in the third grade:
Summers without responsibility
