Illinois Wesleyan senior Colleen Rynne (Oak Forest, Ill., Marian Catholic HS) led the team as a junior with 740 set assists while also recording 195 defensive digs. She also led IWU as a sophomore with 613 assists (5.33 per set) with 185 digs and 11 service aces.
Majoring in business at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Martin and Gerilyn Rynne and her sister, Meghan, played soccer for the Titans.


Why you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan: My sister played soccer at IWU and after Kim recruited me I fell in love with the school.
 
IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Bio 101…heard it is the easiest class at IWU
 
The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Finding the perfect time to take a nap  
 
Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? Kindergarten…the teacher gave me a sad face because I didn’t color in the lines
 
I’m deathly afraid of ... : Being buried alive
 
Worst habit: Talking too much
 
Most expensive traffic ticket: I’ve never received a ticket
 
Language I’d like to learn: Sign language
 
The longest I could survive without my cell phone: 1 minute…jk 1 second
 
One word your mother or father would use to describe you: "Sassy"
 
Favorite sports figure: Mia Hamm
 
My greatest moment in sports was: Playing at state my junior year of high school or making history this past year for IWU
 
The best player I ever faced was: Amber Clay (she plays at West Point now)
 
Worst dresser on my team: Sarah Udelmuffin

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Uhhh probably butter idk?
 
Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Zackery Strock
 
Favorite food: Superman Ice Cream
 
Vegetable I won’t eat: Brussels sprouts

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”:  Do a marathon in all 50 states and skydive

Who is the luckiest person in the world? The guy I’m going to marry for sure ;)
 
What I miss most about being in the third grade: Naps and snacks
