Illinois Wesleyan senior men's golfer Tim Tynan finished eighth at the 2015 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships with a four-round total of 293, earning all-conference honors, then shot a four-day total of 299 at the NCAA Division III Championships to finish in a tie for 34th.
On Sept. 21, 2014, he shot what was then school-record 66 in the Tournament Town Championship Preview at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. As a sophomore, he tied for 14th at the CCIW championships, had a season-low round of 68 in the Jekyll Island Individual Tournament, which he won, and also finished first in the Olivet Nazarene Fall Invite
A business (risk management) major at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Tim and Brigid Tynan. His brother, T.J., played ice hockey at Division I Notre Dame and tied for 12th on the school's all-time point list with 161 in career.
