Illinois Wesleyan senior kicker Michael Kelley (Carbondale, Ill., HS) has 129 extra-point kicks in his career (as of Oct. 21) and is IWU's all-time leader, topping the old mark was 116 by Todd Rozboril, 1994-97). In addition, Kelley's 200 career points is fourth all-time at IWU.
Kelley was the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin “Special Teams Player of the Week” on Sept. 21 when he made 7-of-7 extra point kicks vs. Simpson. It was the second time in his career to earn the CCIW weekly honor and he was a first team all-CCIW selection as a freshman.
He is one of 41 on the "Watch List" for the 2015 Fred Mitchell "Outstanding Placekicker Award" for college football. The nominations for the 7th annual Fred Mitchell Award came from 12 D-III schools, 12 FCS schools, 11 from D-II, five from the NAIA and one from a National Junior College Athletic Association school.
A business administration mjor at IWU, he is the son of Mike and Rhonda Kelley.
