Women’s Volleyball Chosen to Defend its CCIW Crown

Titans accumulate 62 points, seven first-place votes in conference preseason poll

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the second straight season, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team sits atop the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll Tuesday, Aug. 17. The Green and White, who took home the CCIW regular season and tournament crowns each of the past two seasons, garnered 62 points, including seven of eight first-place votes.

Carthage followed the Titans, earning 58 points along with two first-place votes. Millikin filled out the top-three with 49 points.

North Central edged out Wheaton with 36 points for fourth-place as the Thunder filed in behind the Cardinals with 35. Elmhurst's 31 points was good enough for a sixth-place slot and Carroll, IWU's first conference opponent of the season, came in seventh with 23. North Park and Augustana rounded out the conference with 20 and 10 points, respectively.

The Titans will host the first five matches to begin their 2026 slate, including the IWU Tri and IWU Tournament I. The Green and White welcomes Wartburg College and Aurora University to the Shirk Center Tuesday, Sept. 1, with IWU kicking off the season at 2 p.m. against WC before facing AU at 6 p.m.
