BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Pack your passports, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team traveled nearly 5,600 miles to Athens, Greece, to embark on a 10 day adventure for spring break, March 13-22.

IWU will compete in three games while overseas, as the Titans take on Foivos Melission (March 17), Aias Evosmou (March 19), and A.A. Peiramatiko (March 20).

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to travel abroad as a program," said head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "Experiences like this teach us about new cultures, help strengthen our team relationships, and provide lifelong memories. Through our blog, we look forward to sharing our time in Greece with all of our fans back home."

"Our international trips have been extremely impactful, so we are looking forward to taking our fourth program trip to Greece," assistant coach Tyler White stated. "We are excited for strong competition, time to bond as a team, and unforgettable memories."

In addition to the volleyball games, the team will have guided tours of the Temple of Poseidon, central Athens with admission to the Acropolis, Thessaloniki, and of the Aigai Archaeological site, the ancient city that was the first capital of Macedonia.

The trip will also include numerous sightseeing opportunities, including a 3 Islands Cruise, Meteoria visit with two Greek Orthodox monasteries, Edessa Waterfalls, and free time throughout the cities.
