Second weekly honor of her career

4/15/2026 11:00:00 AM

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sophomore Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) of the Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team earned her first career win at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, warranting her second career College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week award, announced by the organization Wednesday April 15.

Fagan's award is her first this season as she marks the fourth different Titan in the past five selections to garner the weekly honor.

Fagan put together an impressive showing at par-72, 5823-yard Ironwood Golf Course Saturday-Sunday, April 11-12, winning the first individual title of her career. The sophomore shot a first round career-low four-under 68, including six birdies, becoming the sixth Titan all-time to card a sub-70 round. Fagan led the individual ranks through 18 holes and battled the brutal windy conditions on day two. She shot 79 on day two, using a birdie on the 14th hole to win the individual title tiebreaker over UW-Stout's Julia Imai. Fagan's 36-hole total of 147 is a career-best.

The Titans travel to the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite Friday-Saturday, April 17-18, in Janesville, Wis.
