Brown Earns Runner-Up Finish at Firebird Finale

Awaits postseason fate, to be announced Monday, March 9

KENOSHA, Wis. - Freshman Tori Brown (Glasford, Ill.-Illini Bluffs) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track & field team finished in second-place in the triple jump at the Firebird Finale, Friday, March 6 at Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.

Brown leaped 11.56m, which earned her runner-up honors behind North Central's Julia Kelly who jumped a personal-best 11.59m. Brown's best jump of the season (11.69m) came on Feb. 20 at the Friday Night Tri.

The Titans will learn their postseason fate on Monday, March 9 as the NCAA will announce the top-20 in each event as national qualifiers. The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships will be contested Friday-Saturday, March 13-14 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.
