The Titans (4-9) got on the board when freshman 103-pounder Leslie Guzman (Fort Worth, Texas.-South Hills) won via forfeit. Fellow freshman
Simone Dyer (Chicago, Ill.-Whitney M. Young) followed with a win on a forfeit at 117 pounds to give IWU a 10-0 lead. At 124 pounds, freshman
Alila Beck (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) got the third Illinois Wesleyan win of the day on a forfeit, putting IWU ahead 15-0.
Eureka (0-3) got on the board at 138 pounds courtesy of a forfeit. At 145 pounds, freshman Jillian Giller (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier) earned a quick pin over Randi Campee, her 10th of the season. Freshman
Kennedy Murray (Evanston, Ill.-Evanston) also got off the mat in rapid fashion, with a technical fall over Jaylah Campbell. At 180 pounds, sophomore
Sifa Feruzi (Denver, Colo.-Macomb) led 6-0 at the end of the first period against Madison Farris, ultimately winning on an 8-4 decision.
The Titans wrapped up the dual with a win from sophomore Alivia Davey (Ripon, Wis.Berlin) at 207 pounds via forfeit.
IWU is back in action next weekend at the QC D3 Invite, hosted by Augustana College, Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 7-8.
