Crabtree Breaks Program Record at PNC Lenny Lyles

Senior runs to third-fastest mile time in Division III

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior Adriana Crabtree's (Normal, Ill.-University High) highlighted the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams appearance at the University of Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles in Louisville, Ky, Saturday, Jan. 31.

Crabtree broke the program record in the mile, finishing 16th in the primarily Division I field, running a career-best time of 4:54.60. Crabtree, who previously sat second on the program's all-time top-10 list, broke Erin McCarey's record of 4:59.29 set in 2016. In the national ranks, Crabtree now sits third in Division III in the event.

Junior Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) and freshman Tori Brown (Glasford, Ill.-Illini Bluffs) competed in the women's triple jump, finishing in 17th and 25th place, respectively. Junior Ethan Godsey (Manteno, Ill.-Manteno) also participated in the men's triple jump.

The Titans return home for the Keck DIII Select Invitational Friday-Saturday, Feb. 6-7 inside the Shirk Center indoor track. Multi events begin Friday, Feb. 6 at 4 p.m. with regular field events to start Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10:45 a.m. and running events to follow at 11:30 a.m.
