NORMAL, Ill. - Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) claimed her third career win at the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State University, on Friday, Sept. 12. In the majority Division I field, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's cross country team claimed sixth-place, while the women's team grabbed fifth-place. 

Crabtree took home the individual victory with a time of 21:32.3 in the women's 6k race. Along with the win, Crabtree also broke the previous school record of 21:35.0, previously held by Erin McCarey, with her time. She finished 10 seconds ahead of Illinois State's Nora Brady and almost a minute faster than the closest Division III finisher, Haley Meyer of Wartburg. 

Freshman Alexia Spatz (Spring Grove, Ill.-Richmond Burton) finished 35th for the Titans in the first 6k race of her career, followed by seniors Brooke Nazos (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) and Abby Quinn (Chicago, Ill.-Marist) at 51st and 52nd place, respectively.

Senior Seth Hamerski (Mount Vernon, Ill.-Webber) recorded the Titans' best finish on the men's side in 53rd. Fellow senior Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) was not far behind in 57th-place. Sophomore Carson Davis (Mt. Zion, Ill.-Mt. Zion) recorded a career-best 8k time by over a minute, clocking in at 27:19.7 and finishing 60th. 

The Titans are back in action at the Spartanburg Pre-National Meet, hosted by Converse, in Spartanburg, S.C. next Saturday, Sept. 20.
