Crabtree Earns All-Region Honors After Top-10 Finish at NCAA Midwest Regional

Men’s and women’s teams post top-20 finishes

WAVERLY, Iowa - The Illinois Wesleyan University cross country teams concluded action at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships held at Max Cross Country Course Saturday, Nov. 15. The women's squad posted an 11th-place finish, while the men's team finished 17th.

Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) earned All-Region honors for the second straight season after posting a seventh-place finish with a time of 22:01.2. Crabtree's seventh-place individual finish is the best Titan finish all-time at the regional meet and the highest since Kerry Devitt finished ninth in 2009.

Senior Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) led the men's squad, finishing in 66th-place and clocking a time of 26:34.0.

On the women's side, IWU narrowly missed a top-10 finish as WashU bested Chicago in the loaded Midwest region. The Wartburg men's team also beat out Chicago, claiming five of the top-10 individual places.

The NCAA will release the official lists of qualifiers for the 2025 National Championship in Spartanburg, S.C. tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 16. The USTFCCCA official list of All-Region honorees will be announced on Monday, Nov. 17.
