BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams head to Waverly, Iowa for the second time this season for the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships, Saturday, Nov. 15. Max Cross Country Course will serve as the host for the men's 8k race, slated to begin at 11 a.m. and the women's 6k race starting at 12 p.m.

Fresh off of the second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship of her career, senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) is seeking her fifth victory this season and her sixth overall this weekend. Crabtree matched a 22-year-old CCIW Championship record en route to resetting her own program record with a time of 21:05.1. Fellow senior Brooke Nazos (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) claimed Second Team All-CCIW accolades for the third consecutive season, earning a 16th-place finish at the CCIW Championship.

Senior Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) was the sole All-CCIW finisher on the men's side as he claimed 12th-place with a career-best time 25:43.2. Daniel's finish was the highest by a Titan at the conference meet since 2019 while his time is the 12th-best in IWU history.

As a team, the women's program earned a third-place finish with 92 points at the CCIW Championships while the men's squad improved one spot from last season to claim fifth with 153 points.

The Green and White had a preliminary look at Max Cross Country Course when it competed at the Dan Hutson Invite, hosted by Wartburg College, Oct. 4. Five Titans turned in career-best times at the event, as Crabtree earned a fourth-place finish.

The Illinois Wesleyan women's team currently sits in 10th in the Midwest Region in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings release, Nov. 4. The University of Chicago held steady at No.1, while Washington University in St. Louis and host Wartburg followed. Following its 2025 CCIW Championship title, Wheaton rose to seventh in the regional rankings.

On the men's side, Wartburg tops the rankings, followed by Chicago and CCIW Champion North Central.

The men's 8k race will get underway at 11 a.m. with the women's race to follow at noon in Waverly, Iowa. Live stats for the event will be available and can be found here.
