NEW ORLEANS - Nine Titans along with the entire Illinois Wesleyan University women's track & field program were recognized Monday, July 21, as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association unveiled its academic awards. Nine student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic status, while the women's program was recognized as an all-academic team.

Grabbing the honor for the Green and White were sophomores Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) and Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East), seniors Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville), Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East), Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa-Forsyth), and Emma McGrath (Oak Lawn, Ill.-Oak Lawn), as well as juniors Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High), Bella Gonzalez (Itasca, Ill.-Lake Park), and Jordynn Griffin (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community).

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team award, programs must meet the minimum grade point average of 3.1 or higher. IWU's women's track and field program, led by head coach Amelia Marino, compiled a 3.62 cumulative grade point average to be named an All-Academic Team for the third straight year.

To be eligible for individual honors, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 while having competed for an NCAA indoor or outdoor championship during the 2024 season, or been one of the top 50 individuals in their respective events or be a member of a top 35 relay team.

Ogunribido became a NCAA national champion in the women's triple jump with a monstrous school record jump of 12.96m (42'6.25"). She ranks third all-time in Division III and is fourth on the Division III all-conditions outdoor list. Ogunribido also holds the record for the indoor triple jump at 12.28m (40'3.50"), good for 24th in Division III all-time indoors. The sophomore claimed All-CCIW honors in the indoor triple jump and 55m races before taking the CCIW crown in the outdoor triple and earning an All-CCIW nod in the 4x100m relay.

In her first season competing collegiately, Mackenzie Huber garnered the award after running a leg of IWU's 4x400 relay that ranked 34th nationally. An elementary education major with a 3.89 grade point average, she earned All-CCIW status in the 4x400 relay, 800m, and high jump.

Chudy was one of three Titans to earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-America this past season. A neuroscience major with a 3.88 grade point average, Chudy completed the track and field season ranked 47th nationally in the 10k with a time of 36:52.47 that she ran at the WashU Distance Carnival. She was the CCIW's 10k champion and also earned all-league honors in the 5k.

Lauren Huber, who will compete on the track & field team at NCAA Division I Notre Dame in the upcoming year, closed out a sensational IWU career as an All-American in the heptathlon. Named the CCIW Woman of the Year, Lauren Huber made the most of her return to track & field. After winning an individual title as a freshman, Huber earned All-CCIW status in the 800m, javelin, and as part of the 4x400 relay. At the national championship outdoor meet, she placed fourth in the heptathlon behind personal-bests in every event of the multi. Overall, she ranks inside the program's top-10 in five events. She is listed third all-time in high jump (1.67m), fifth in the 800m (2:14.11), eighth in shot put (11.73m), and ninth in javelin (38.88m). Huber was also named All-Midwest Region by the USTFCCCA and finished the year ranked 20th nationally in high jump. She graduated this spring with a degree in biology while holding a 3.68 grade point average and was named a CSC Third Team Academic All-America pick earlier this month.

King closed out a stellar senior season that featured trips to both indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships, two school records, and a CCIW Championship title in the hammer throw. The senior set a school record in the weight throw of 17.62m (57'9.75") before claiming the hammer throw record with a mark of 53.94m (177'0") outdoors.

McGrath, who carried a 3.86 grade point average in secondary education and mathematics, was a key member of IWU's DMR. The relay ranked 33rd nationally, while McGrath was an All-CCIW performer in the 1500m.

A national qualifier, Crabtree was also voted a CSC Second Team Academic All-America selection. The CCIW Champion in the DMR and 3k steeplechase, Crabtree also posted all-conference performances in the mile, 1500m, and 5k. Her outstanding campaign came to a close with a First Team All-American showing at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship, where she grabbed seventh-place in the steeplechase. An all-region award winner in both cross country and track, she holds a 3.84 GPA while studying environmental studies.

Gonzalez, a political science major with a 3.38 GPA, was a member of IWU's 4x400 relay that produced the 34th-ranked time. The group achieved the time at the CCIW Outdoor Championships, May 2, placing second in the league. She also reeled in all-conference awards in the 400m.
