GREENWOOD, Ind. - Illinois Wesleyan University's all-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-America tally continued to rise Tuesday, July 15, as the organization unveiled its 2024-25 Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-America teams. Included in the list were seniors Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) and Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) as well as junior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High), setting a program record for the most honorees in a year.

Chudy jumped from third team honors last season to the second team. She becomes the first repeat selection since now head women's track & field coach Amelia Marino (nee Glueck) captured first team status in 2017 and 2018. Crabtree and Huber make their first appearances on the distinguished list as second and third team awardees, respectively. Additionally, Huber, who was voted CSC First Team Academic All-America in women's basketball is the first female in school history to garner CSC Academic All-America honors in multiple sports. She is just the third Titan all-time and the first since 1986 - joining J.C. Anderson (football - 1984 & track & field - 1985) and Steve Bridges (football - 1985 & baseball - 1986).

Furthermore, IWU's all-time Academic All-America list now sits at 175, which is top-25 across NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as top-10 in Division III. To date, 15 Titans have reeled in CSC Academic All-America honors during the 2024-25 academic year, breaking the previous mark of 10 set in 2023-24. The trio joins Quinn Clifford (at-large - men's golf), Griffin Pohl (at-large - men's golf), Juney Bai (at-large - men's golf), Billy McHugh (at-large - men's lacrosse), Sam Weinberg (at-large - men's lacrosse), Macy Ludwig (at-large - women's golf), Jen Kuhn (softball), Ava Khoury (softball), Nick Roper (men's basketball), Mallory Powers (women's basketball), Lauren Huber (women's basketball), and Kannyn Boyd (women's volleyball) as the 13th, 14th, and 15th Titans to receive the distinguished honor this academic year. Chudy's second career CSC Academic All-America honor comes after a year in which she picked up five All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin nods. She placed ninth at the league cross country championship to earn all-conference status before posting a 27th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional. A neuroscience major with a 3.88 grade point average, Chudy was a two-time CCIW Runner of the Week during the cross country season. After earning her third consecutive all-region accolade, Chudy completed the track and field season ranked fourth regionally on the outdoor list in the 10k and 13th in the 5k. The Libertyville, Ill. native was also top-40 regionally during the indoor season for her efforts in the mile (37th), 3k (30th), and 5k (18th).

Crabtree, who joins her father and former Titan basketball standout Bryan Crabtree to receive the award, was a national qualifier in both cross country and track and field. The CCIW Champion in the 3k, DMR, and 3k steeplechase, Crabtree also posted all-conference performances in the mile, 1500m, and 5k. Her outstanding campaign came to a close with a First Team All-American showing at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship, where she grabbed seventh-place in the steeplechase. An all-region award winner in both cross country and track, she holds a 3.84 GPA while studying environment studies.

Huber completed an accomplished career as a national qualifier and ultimately an All-American in the heptathlon. Named the CCIW Woman of the Year just a few weeks ago, Huber made the most of her return to track & field. After winning an individual title as a freshman, Huber earned All-CCIW status in the 800m, javelin, and as part of the 4x400 relay. At the national championship outdoor meet, she placed fourth in the heptathlon behind personal-bests in every event of the multi. Overall, she ranks inside the program's top-10 in five events. She is listed third all-time in high jump (1.67m), fifth in the 800m (2:14.11), eighth in shot put (11.73m), and ninth in javelin (38.88m). Huber was also named All-Midwest Region by the USTFCCCA and finished the year ranked 20th nationally in high jump. She graduated this spring with a degree in biology while holding a 3.68 grade point average.
