GENEVA, Ohio - Despite a feels-like temperature in the 30s and wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up a phenomenal day two at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Friday, May 23, at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Senior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) earned First Team All-American honors in the heptathlon and junior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) also climbed the podium in the 3000-meter steeplechase, while junior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) claimed a spot in Saturday's 400m final.

Huber opened the day with a consistent long jump performance in the heptathlon, posting two 4.76m (15'7.50") jumps and a 4.68m to add 495 points to her multi total but dropped to 14th in the multi overall scores. A strong third-place finish in the javelin of 36.67m (120'3") bumped Huber into 11th-place with just the 800m left.

Straight off the startline, Huber moved into the No. 1 position before even reaching the first 100m mark and the senior never looked back. Finishing with a hefty four-second cushion, Huber clocked a 2:16.52, scoring 871 points to bring her heptathlon total to a personal-best 4918 points. The senior jumped from 11th to a fourth-place podium finish to become the Titans' first First Team All-American of the weekend. Adding to her women's basketball All-American honor, Huber becomes the first Titan since Molly McGraw in 2018 to earn All-American status in two sports in the same academic year as McGraw also claimed the basketball and track and field All-American double.

Crabtree settled in behind the lead pack early on in the steeplechase final. With 800m to go and sitting ninth, Crabtree utilized a strong kick to move up two spots into seventh with a time of 10:36.43 to claim her second All-American honor of her career, whether indoor or outdoor, and the first time climbing the podium.

Lowder turned in a 47.18-second effort to finish third in the second of three heats of the 400m preliminary round. The junior's time was fifth-fastest overall and secured a spot in tomorrow's 400m final at 2:10 p.m. ET.

Senior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Forsyth-Maroa) will open Saturday's competition in the hammer throw at 11 a.m. ET, with sophomore Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) following in the triple jump at 1:45 p.m. ET. Lowder will race the 400m final at 2:10 p.m. ET.
