Track and Field Lands Six USTFCCCA All-Region Awards

Two on the men's side, four on the women’s

NEW ORLEANS – Days before the 2025 NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams reeled in six United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors, the organization announced its selections Tuesday afternoon, May 20.

In order to be eligible for the award, individuals must rank in their region's top-five in an event or be a part of a top-three ranked relay team.

Junior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) secured all-region recognition after posting the Midwest region's top time in the men's 400-meter of 46.55 seconds. Lowder's 400m time ranks fifth nationally. It marks the fourth outdoor all-region nod of the junior's career.

Sophomore Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) claims all-region honors as she holds the second-best mark in the Midwest in the women's triple jump at 12.57m (41'3") while also ranking fourth in Division III this season. 

Earning the first all-region nod of her track and field career is senior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East). Huber's 4821 points in the women's heptathlon ranks fourth-best in the Midwest while also sitting 11th nationally. 

Competing in one of the strongest regions in the throwing events is senior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Forsyth-Maroa) who ties for fifth in the Midwest Region with her 53.94m (177'0") mark, securing the first all-region award of her career. King's throw ranks 11th in Division III heading into the national meet.

Senior Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) closes out her senior season earning an all-region nod in the 10,000m, as her 36:52.47 sits fourth regionally.

Freshman Nick Walker (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora) earns the second all-region nod of his career in the men's high jump. The freshman's 2.03m (6'8.75") mark ties for third-best in the Midwest Region.

Lowder, Ogunribido, Huber, and King, as well as junior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) will represent the Green and White in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute. for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday-Saturday, May 22-24.
