BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Just one week away from the NCAA Division III Track and Field Outdoor Championships, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams are readying for one final week of last chance meets. The Titans will head to Rock Island, Ill. for Augustana College's Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier Wednesday, May 14. Events on the track are set for a 2 p.m. start with field events to follow at 3 p.m.

After lowering his 800-meter time at last week's St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite, senior Ernie Waterson (Bloomington, Ill.-Cornerstone Christian Academy) will have one more go at the event on Wednesday at 5:25 p.m. Waterson's 1:51.48 time currently ranks 38th in Division III.

Freshman Nick Walker (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora) looks to improve his high jump mark, currently sitting 25th nationally with a 2.03m (6'7.75") mark, and is set to compete at 4 p.m. The men's 4-by-400m relay of sophomores Reece Dusek (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) and Carson Green (Centralia, Ill.-Centralia), junior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), and senior Alex Harvey (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) will race tomorrow at 8:15 p.m. and look to improve their time of 3:13.31 that currently ranks 28th nationally.

Lowder is coming off a week that saw him clock a 46.55-second effort in the open 400m at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open. The time is a new school record for IWU and a new College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin open record in the event. Lowder currently sits fourth nationally with the time and ranks 25th in Division III all-time.

Also competing on the men's side tomorrow will be senior Nick Fisch (Woodridge, Ill.-Montini Catholic) in the men's 5000m at 2:57 p.m.

On the women's side, junior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) is set to compete in the 1500m and the 3000m steeplechase. Crabtree's time of 10:45.97 in the steeple ranks 16th in Division III, while her 4:33.64 time in the 1500m sits 48th. The 1500m is set for 4:15 p.m., and the steeplechase will run at 9:15 p.m.

Senior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) looks to fine-tune some things in the women's high jump and 100m hurdles on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., respectively. Huber ranks 10th in the women's heptathlon (4821) nationally, while also sitting 19th in the open high jump (1.67m, 5'5.75").

Sophomore Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) ranks fourth in the nation in the women's triple jump (12.57m, 41'3") and, after taking last week off, will get one final competition under her belt before the national championship.

Sophomore Alex Reinhart (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) rounds out the Titan competitors at Augustana as she will race the 800m at 5:50 p.m. Reinhart's season-best time of 2:12.78 ranks 40th nationally.
