CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Senior Ernie Waterson (Bloomington, Ill.-Cornerstone Christian Academy) closed out a four-meet week for the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams with a season-best effort in the 800-meter at the University of Illinois Fighting Illini Twilight, Saturday, April 26. 

In the highly competitive Division I field, Waterson came through on the first lap sitting seventh before kicking down three runners to finish fourth overall in a time of 1:53.01. Waterson's time is the second-fastest time in the conference this season.

Illinois Wesleyan turns its attention to the CCIW Championships next weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, in Naperville, Ill.
