Women Bowling Concludes CCIW Tournament #2

WAUKEGAN, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team concluded the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament #2 Sunday, March 2. Competing at Bertrand Lanes in Waukegan, Ill. the Titans placed seventh.

Illinois Wesleyan had five competitors with junior Kiera Henderson (Silvis, Ill.-United Township) turning in the highest place of the tournament for the Titans. In four traditional games, Henderson stood 22nd overall with a total pinfall of 573. The Silvis, Ill. native finished with a game-high of 152 in her fourth game. 

Sophomore Joanna Steven (Chicago, Ill. Kings College Prep), along with freshmen Neveah Porter (Appleton, Wis. Appleton West) and Sapphire Bankston-Hunter (North Chicago, Ill. Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart) closed the tournament in 27th, 28th, and 29th, respectively. Steven finished with a 448 total overall with her highest game at 156, a new single-game record for the sophomore. Porter saw a total of 409 with a game-high of 111. Bankston-Hunter had a total pinfall of 369 with a game-high of 103.

The Titans went 0-6 in baker games to place seventh overall as a team. 

The women's bowling team will compete in one more tournament this season at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn. at the Smyrna Bowling Center, Friday-Sunday, March 14-16.
