BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a two week-long hiatus, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team will finish its season competing at the Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt University. The meet will take place Friday-Sunday, March 14-16 at the Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn. and will start on Friday at 10 a.m.
The Titans are coming off of playing at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament #2, where junior Kiera Henderson (Silvis, Ill.-United Township) turned in the highest finish for the Green and White. In four traditional games, Henderson stood 22nd overall with a total pinfall of 573. The Silvis, Ill. native finished with a game-high of 152 in her fourth game.
The Music City Classic spans three days starting Friday, March 14. All teams will compete in five sets of baker matches, followed by five traditional matches on Saturday. Sunday will finish out with a best of seven baker bracket to end the tournament.
This is the first time that Illinois Wesleyan will be competing in the Music City Classic but will see some friendly faces while there. CCIW foes, Marian University and Aurora University will both be participating in the Music City Classic as well.
