BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University track and field will be represented by four individuals at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Rochester, N.Y. this Friday-Saturday, March 14-15. The Titans bring all four class years to the championship site in senior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa-Forsyth), junior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), sophomore Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park), and freshman Nick Walker (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora)

Lowder will race the men's 400m-meter in the preliminary round on Friday at 3:05 p.m. ET with finals set for Saturday at 4:25 p.m. ET. King will compete in the women's weight throw Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Ogunribido and Walker are set to compete Saturday as the women's triple jump is set for 11 a.m. ET followed by the men's high jump at noon ET.

Lowder makes his second appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships after turning in a Second Team All-American performance in the 400m a season ago with a ninth place finish. The junior earned his qualifying mark at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Final Qualifier, March 8, where he broke his own school record in the event with a time of 48.04 seconds. The time set a new meet record in La Crosse and ranks fifth in the national field. Lowder looks to add national accolades to his season's accomplishments after the Bloomington native was named an all-region honoree in the 200 and 400m and earned his third indoor 400m College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship title while also leading off the winning 4-by-400m relay, March 1.

Also contributing to that conference winning 4-by-400m relay was Walker who had a career-weekend at the CCIW Championships. Walker was voted the conference's Men's Field Newcomer of the Meet after claiming the high jump title with a personal-best leap of 2.05m (6'8.75") and an All-CCIW finish in the long jump (6.69m, 21'11.50"). Walker will make his NCAA debut on Saturday just days after being named an all-region honoree and enters the national competition tied for 12th in the field.

Ogunribido grabbed her national qualifying spot early, after breaking her own triple jump school record for the second time in the matter of weeks at the Jason Dennis Memorial meet, Jan. 24. The sophomore makes her second NCAA Indoor Championships appearance after earning Second Team All-American honors indoors a season ago, and ranks fifth in the field with a 12.28m (40'3.50") triple jump mark. Ogunribido's jump ranks tied for 24th in Division III all-time. Already an impressive resume as a sophomore, Ogunribido earned her second indoor all-region nod in the triple jump on Wednesday and picked up All-CCIW honors in the triple jump and the 55m dash.

King makes her first appearance at an indoor championship in the weight throw and comes in with the 18th-best mark in the field. The senior earned her qualifying mark with a school-record toss of 17.62m (57'9.75") at the Keck Select, Feb. 8, breaking a seven-year-old record by just one centimeter. King comes to the national stage after claiming all-conference honors with a third-place finish at the CCIW Championships.

The CCIW has representation from eight of nine member institutions with 14 qualifying marks on the men's side and 25 on the women's side.

The championships, hosted by Nazareth University, will kick off Friday, March 14, at the Golisano Training Center. The full meet schedule is available here and live results can be found here. Both links can also be found on the men's and women's track and field schedule pages of iwusports.com.
