Swim and Dive Receives CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Awards

Both teams compete at the CCIW Championships next

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Penn. - The Illinois Wesleyan University Swim and Dive teams were praised by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Monday, Feb. 3, by joining the Team Scholar All-America lists.

The CSCAA announced the selection of 781 teams from 489 institutions from Division I to NAIA as Scholar All-America Teams for the fall 2024 semester. To qualify for the prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the fall semester. 

The WashU men led all divisions in team GPA (3.83), while the Oberlin College women ranked first among Division III women with a 3.82.

On the women's side, IWU was one of 175 teams to make the list in Division III. Illinois Wesleyan compiled a 3.18 GPA as a team with 13 women. College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams that also made the list were Augustana (3.57), Carthage (3.37), Millikin (3.16), and Wheaton (3.71). 

On the men's side, IWU was one of 153 teams to earn the distinction in Division III. The Green and White pulled together a 3.27 GPA as a team with seven men. The CCIW teams that were also spotted on the list were Augustana (3.4) Carthage (3.35), Carroll (3.01), and Wheaton (3.35). 

The Titans compete next in the CCIW Championships Feb. 19-22 in Kenosha, Wis.
