BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Director of Swimming and Diving Dan Lloyd announced the addition of Tyler Leslie to his coaching staff Thursday, April 2. Leslie will serve as an assistant coach for the Titans following the conclusion of a decorated career at Augustana College. Leslie joins Lloyd's staff, which includes current assistant coach Brooke Walker.

"I am excited to welcome Tyler to our staff," Lloyd stated. "It was an honor to coach him to a historic career while I was at Augustana, especially when he became the program's first All-American in 39 years. I am confident that his drive, passion, and commitment to excellence in everything he does will make an impact on our program as we continue to build off of the success of this past season."

A familiar face in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, Leslie joins the Titan staff after a dominant career for the Vikings. He helped Augustana to four straight CCIW Team Championships, and was named the 2025 CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Year. He was twice named the Augie men's swim team's MVP. Over his career, Leslie won seven individual CCIW championships, breaking the conference and school records in the 200-yard freestyle in 2025, an event he would go on to be an NCAA All-American in. Leslie also set school records in the 1650-yard freestyle (2024) and the 200-yard individual medley (2025) en route to CCIW titles. He paired up with his teammates to win 13 conference relay events over his career, which included four straight 400-yard freestyle relay and 800-yard freestyle relay crowns. Leslie finished his career with 10 school records, holding the Vikings' best marks in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free, 1000 freestyle, 1650 freestyle, 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 backstroke. He was named the CCIW Swimmer of the Week seven times in his decorated career.

"Brooke and I are thrilled to have Tyler join us," added Lloyd. "It is a special opportunity as they were both great student athletes for me when we created the championship culture and legacy at Augustana. The three of us look forward to bringing that same vision, energy, and success to Illinois Wesleyan at an even higher level with the incredible academics and resources we have here."

A true student-athlete, Leslie also excelled in the classroom. The computer science major was named a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America First Team Scholar All-America honoree in 2025, and was Augustana's recipient of the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award the same year. Leslie has been named to the dean's list three times, and was a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree in 2024.

Leslie will begin helping recruit future Titans immediately, and will begin on-campus coaching responsibilities upon graduation from Augustana in May 2026.
