Swim & Dive Acquire Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Award

Titans earned the award in both fall and spring semesters

RICHMOND, Va. - The Illinois Wesleyan University swim and dive teams were recognized for their hard work in the classroom by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America joining the Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Teams, announced Wednesday, July 1. It is the first time the teams have earned the accolade in both semesters since the 2023-24 academic year.

The spring teams recognized 418 institutions and 714 teams for their academic achievements and accounted for over 16,500 student athletes. To be selected, teams must have a collective grade point average of 3.00 or higher in the spring semester. 

Division III snagged two out of the top three highest GPA's, stretching throughout all divisions. Stevenson University took the top spot with a 3.95 GPA for the men while Colorado College's 3.92 GPA topped the women's side for Division III and third overall.

The Green and White's women's team slotted 58th out of the 145 institutions that made the prestigious list. IWU recorded a 3.59 GPA with its 13 participants which led the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. From the conference, Illinois Wesleyan was joined by Augustana College (3.35), Carthage College (3.45) and Wheaton College (3.70).

On the men's side, the Titans finished 39th with 127 institutions earning the distinction. IWU accumulated a 3.52 GPA, leading the CCIW. The men's team was also joined by Augustana (3.36), Carthage (3.26), and Wheaton (3.27)

The Scholar All-America Team recognition shines a light on collegiate swimming and diving programs nationwide across all NCAA divisions, as well as NAIA and junior and community college institutions. It celebrates the commitment student-athletes make to excellence both in the pool and the classroom.
