ALLENDALE, Mich. – In the first half of a two-meet weekend, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams saw junior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) set a new all-conditions school record in the men's 200-meter dash, while five additional Titans continued to climb in IWU's all-time list at the GVSU Big Meet-Friday in Allendale, Mich., Friday, Feb. 14.

Lowder became only the second Titan in program history to break 22 seconds in the indoor 200m, clocking a 21.87-second run on his way to a new school record. Racing on Grand Valley State's 300m indoor track, Lowder's time becomes IWU's all-condition 200m record. The junior, who already owns the indoor 300m and 400m records, broke Segun Olopo's record of 21.93 which has stood since 2008. Lowder also ran the 400m in Michigan, turning in a season-best time of 48.76 seconds.

Senior Nick Fisch (Woodridge, Ill.-Montini Catholic) turned in a career-best time of 15:12.30 to finish sixth in his heat of the men's 5,000m. Fisch dropped eight seconds from his previous season-best time of 15:20.06 set last weekend, moving him up to fifth on the program's indoor all-time list. The time is also seven seconds faster than his previous career-best in the 5,000m set last outdoor season. Freshman Jack Thomas (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) also raced in the men's 5,000m, posting a time of 15:52.69.

Senior Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) etched her name in the IWU record books with the eighth-fastest time in the women's indoor 5,000m. Chudy clocked an 18:11.15 to finish ninth in her section at GVSU, a time that ranks second in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in the event this season.

Continuing to impress in her freshman season is Alex Reinhart (Normal, Ill.-Normal West), who turned in a three-second personal-best to win the early section of the women's open 800m. Reinhart's time of 2:15.25 is currently the second-fastest in the CCIW and sits 22nd across Division III this season. Additionally, it is the fourth-fastest time in program history.

Junior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) bettered her career-best in the women's open mile race, crossing the finish line in 4:59.41, a time that ranks second in program history and is 29th-best in Division III this season.

Sophomore Matt Lindberg (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) finished second in the men's high jump with a 1.98m (6'6") leap while junior Isaac Whitaker (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) finished eighth in the men's pole vault with a 4.50m (14'9") clearance.

Senior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa Forsyth) also turned in an eighth-place finish in the women's weight throw (16.77m, 55'0.25") while senior CJ Ladewig (Palos Heights, Ill,-Stagg) finished ninth in the men's weight throw (16.04m, 52'7.50"). Sophomore Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) jumped an 11.36m (37'3.25") mark for a ninth-place finish in the women's triple jump invite section.
