Lowder Tabbed CCIW Track Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University track and field senior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday, Dec. 10. It is the fifth honor of his career and third indoor award of his career.

Lowder, a three-time NCAA All-American, impressed at the Titan First Chance Meet Friday, Dec. 5 with his first place finish in the 400m. With a time of 49.34 in the two-lap race, Lowder bested teammate Dylan Hodges by over a second. Lowder's converted time of 48.57 ranks ninth nationally through the first week of competition.

Lowder and the Titans enjoy the remainder of the month of December off before returning to the track Saturday, January 17 for the Coach Shoe Invitational. The meet will also serve as senior day.
