Women’s Wrestling Takes on Eight Woman Battles

IWU to send 13 competitors to Eau Claire

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's wrestling team readies for its second tournament of the season, Saturday Nov. 22, at the Eight Woman Battles hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The Titans re-enter bracketed action after six straight dual matches, two of them against ranked opponents. In their last tournament at the Pointer Open, Nov 1, IWU racked up three first-place finishes.

The Green and White will send 13 competitors to northwest Wisconsin highlighted by sophomore Alivia Davey (Ripon, Wis.-Berlin) and freshman Angel Hill (San Diego, Calif.-Mira Mesa). Davey finished second in the event a year ago at 207 pounds while Hill will make her Eight Woman Battles debut at 207 pounds after a 4-1 start to her inaugural campaign.
