BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team ventures to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the Eight Man Battles, Saturday, Nov 22. Action is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the McPhee Physical Education Center.

The Titans are coming off of a dual meet loss to North Central where junior Austin Johnston (Normal. Ill. - Normal West) booked a 5-3 decision over Carson Prunty. The 141-pounder sits at 4-2 on the season and registered a 2-0 record last weekend, also defeating Nathan Barbee of Millikin in their dual, Saturday Nov 15.

Last year at the Eight Man Battles, Johnston placed second at 141 pounds. Then-freshman Ameer Alamawi (New Lenox, Ill. - Lincoln Way Central) earned the best record for the green and white at the event, finishing at 4-1 in the 149 pound flight.

The Titans will send a total of 15 competitors to the tournament. Live stats will be available here.
