Men’s Golf Holds Steady at Folds of Honor Challenge

Bai and Spitzer inside top-10

ALLENDALE, Mich. - With one round to play, the fifth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team finds itself in fourth in the 10-team Folds of Honor Challenge. The Titans shaved 12 strokes off from its first round score to fire a four-over 288 at The Meadows Monday, Sept. 16.

Juniors Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central) and Michael Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.-Hinsdale Central) both rank inside the top-10 individually after carding one-under 71s. Bai holds fourth at one-under 141, while Spitzer is tied for seventh at three-over.

Aurora maintained its lead in the team standings at six-over, while Mississippi Gulf Coast is second at 11-over. Grand Valley State is in third at 13-over, with IWU in fourth at 16-over. Aided by a five-under 66, Odessa's Adam Bresnu tops the player leaderboard at six-under, 136.

Final action is scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 17. Live scoring will be available through Clippd.
