Four Titans in top-20 individually

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The fifth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team began play at the Folds of Honor Challenge Sunday, Sept. 15. The Green and White carded a 12-over, 296, at The Meadows and rank fourth in the 10-team field.

Junior Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central) led the Titans, carding an even-par 71. He sits tied for fifth after one round of play. Also in the top-20 are senior Quinn Clifford (Chicago, Ill.-Brother Rice) and juniors Michael Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.-Hinsdale Central) and Aidan Helay (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West). Clifford turned in a three-over 74 and sits 15th, while Spitzer is 16th with a 75. Healy recorded a five-over 76 and holds 19th-place.

Aurora finished the day one-over to top the leaderboard at 285, while Mississippi Gulf Coast and West Texas A&M are second and third, respectively. IWU is fourth at 296, while Grand Valley State is fifth at 297.

Second round action is scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 16. Live scoring will be available through Clippd.
