NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Picking up the honor for the second time in her young career, Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field freshman Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Field Athlete of the Week accolades after a phenomenal performance in the triple jump last week. The league office announced its selections Wednesday afternoon, April, 17.

This week's award is the second of Ogunribido's career after earning the distinction back in February during the indoor season. Ogunribido put on a show in the women's triple jump Saturday, April 13 at the Greenville Select. Prior to Saturday, Ogunribido's best mark of 11.64m (38'2.25") in the event outdoors ranked 18th nationally but at the Greenville Select, the freshman posted three straight jumps over 12 meters. Her best leap of 12.24m (40'1.50") boosted her to second-best in Division III this season and is second in IWU program history. Ogunribido owns the top mark in the CCIW, leading the field by more than a foot.

Ogunribido also ran on the 4-by-400-meter relay that finished fourth in the meet with a time of 48.40 seconds and clocked a 12.80-second effort in the 100-meter dash to place sixth at Greenville.

IWU is set to compete Friday and Saturday, April 19-20, at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
