BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -
The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams showed out for the Keck DIII Select on Senior Day Saturday, Feb. 3 inside the Shirk Center. A multitude of personal-best performances charged fifth-place team showings on both sides in the loaded competition.

The IWU men totaled 57.5 points as Illinois State University compiled 118 points followed distantly by Dubuque University with 83. ISU totaled 118 points on the women's side as well with Washington University in St. Louis close behind with 105. IWU scored 21 points for fifth.

In the triple jump, freshman Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) leaped a personal-best 11.70m (38'4.75") to place second in the event. Ogunribido's jump ranks third in IWU laurels and is the 12th-best in Division III this season. She extended her conference leading mark by over two feet. Senior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) took fifth in the event with a jump of 10.91m (35'9.50").

Sophomore Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) turned in a phenomenal second-place performance in the mile, clocking a 5:01.35 personal-best. The mark sits third in program history and 24th in the nation across Division III competitors. Crabtree's time is the fastest mark in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin by over six seconds. Returning to the track for the 800-meter race, Crabtree net yet another personal best effort of 2:26.12 to finish seventh.

Junior Carlyssa King's (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa-Forsyth) best toss of 14.83m (48'9") in the weight throw was good for sixth in the 32-person field. Senior Amanda Wilson (Minooka, Ill. Minooka) clocked an 11:18.85 time in the 3,000-meter to place eighth out of 23 runners.

Sophomore Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) posted the fastest time in the 35-man 400-meter field of 49.94 to claim IWU's sole event win of the meet. Freshman Ethan Godsey (Manteno, Ill.-Manteno) turned in a personal-best mark in the triple jump for a second-place showing. With a leap of 13.40m (43'11.75") Godsey now sits fourth in the CCIW and cracked the program's all-time list, tying for 10th.

In the loaded pole vault event, sophomore Isaac Whitaker (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) went to battle for a 10-inch personal-best clearance (4.71m, 15'5.50") to place fifth in the event. Whitaker's vault surpassed his coach, Jon Blome's 4.68m mark, to take over the No. 3 spot in the record books and currently ties for the nation's 19th-best clearance on the year. He also ranks second in the CCIW behind Millikin's Kyle Hensley who was the runner-up in today's competition.

A slew of third place finishes was kicked off by junior Ernie Waterson (Bloomington, Ill.-Cornerstrone Christian Academy) in the mile with a 4:23.65 personal-best time that ranks 10th in the program's history. Sophomore Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) was just behind Waterson in fourth (4:23.94).

Sophomore Jahari Scott (Lake Bluff, Ill.-Lake Forest) had the fifth-fastest mark in the 60-meter dash field heading into finals, but quickly bettered that mark to 7.00-seconds to take third overall. Scott also turned in a top-five performance in the long jump with a leap of 6.79m (22'3.50") for fifth, a mark that puts him second in the conference.

Junior Alex Harvey (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) posted a personal-best mark of 8.64 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to earn a spot at No. 10 in the program's record book. Fifth year Drew Tatlock (North Pekin, Ill.-Pekin Community) had a season-best leap of 1.93m (6'4") in the high jump on his way to a third-place finish, while freshman Matt Lindberg (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) cleared 1.88m (6'2") for fifth place.

Sophomore Ashtin Elder (Chenoa, Ill.-Prairie Central) bettered his heptathlon point total to 3,657 points after posting personal-bests in the 60m hurdles (10.44) and the pole vault (3.15m, 10'4"). Elder finished fourth overall and ranks seventh all-time for the Titans.
