Beasley Claims CCIW Field Athlete of the Week Award

Marks first weekly accolade of his career

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – After a phenomenal high jump performance at last weekend's Friday Night Tri, freshman Adam Beasley (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Field Athlete of the Week Wednesday, Feb. 21, marking the first weekly honor for the Illinois Wesleyan University men's track and field team this season.

The Titans' recent home meet saw Beasley jump clean-through 1.98 meters before notching an impressive personal-best on a second-attempt clearance. Beasley's leap of 2.04 meters (6'8.25") is the fourth-highest jump all-time at IWU and is the top mark in the conference ahead of the CCIW Championships this upcoming weekend. His jump ranks tied for 10th in Division III.

Beasley and the Titans head to Naperville, Ill. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23-24, for the CCIW Championships hosted by North Central College.
