CCIW Release

NAPERVILLE, Ill. –
After a record-breaking performance in Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field's season opener, sophomore triple jumper
Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Field Athlete of the Week. The league office announced its selections Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 11.

The recognition marks Ogunribido's third CCIW weekly award of her career after earning the honor twice last season (Feb. 7, 2024 & April 17, 2024).

Ogunribido officially broke IWU's indoor triple jump school record with an exceptional 12.11 meter (39'8.75") mark on her first jump of the day at the Titan First Chance, Saturday, Dec. 7. Not only does the mark lead the CCIW, but it is also the nation's top-mark in Division III this season.

Just a season ago at the 2024 CCIW Indoor Championships, Ogunribido notched a 12.07m mark as a freshman to tie the previous school record set by Jill Harmon in 2015.

Ogunribido and the women's track and field team will take a break from competition until after the new year when the Titans host the I-55 Invite, Jan. 18.
